Practical Science Dissecting Hearts (pigs)

We had lots of fun this afternoon dissecting pigs hearts in Class 5.  We found: the 4 heart chambers, the heart valves and the heart strings too.  Look at our pictures below...

  1. This was the best science lesson ever! I really enjoyed exploring every part of the heart, it is great practice for being a vet. Getting ready for all the blood! I would love to dissect something again this year!

I have also read the book from Bug Club about pirates! The book is okay but is not my cup of tea. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys pirates, ships and burred gold. I would rate this book 3/5 stars.
    Charlie, again!

  2. Wow! What a great science lesson! You all look like you really enjoyed it and have learned an awful lot about the heart. I think I will be asking you all to teach me everything you have been taught! Well done to you all and a big well done to Mrs Dixon too (next time can we time it so I can join in , pretty please?).

  3. The Power of Three; The Sight
    (Warrior Cats)

This is the first book in a series of Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter and I can't wait to read the rest of the books! The imagery that Erin Hunter uses is so brilliant that I almost feel as though I'm walking through the forest, seeing the world from a cats point of view; I couldn't put the book down! It is such an original idea that is written beautifully and that is why I give this book a 10/10.

    1. Wow! 10/10 doesn't come along often. Could you read an extract to the class for us or use the visualiser for us to experience the imagery?
