Welcome Class 5 to our fourth week of the term. We are starting
team efforts this week towards our New Zealand competition, creating a ‘perfect
New Zealand experience.’ Well done with understanding how to use the Fordham
census data, this week you will be using it to create a comparison graph with
Horotiu, writing to your New Zealand counterparts and inviting real travel
agents in to judge your pitches at the end of term. Exciting! Your New Zealand
artwork in the style of Ron Reid has been extremely successful and I hope you
all slept well after learning so much grammar and fractions/decimals techniques
last week.

| Tom is rightly proud of his Ron Reid style, he will be adding a little colour/tone to it this week. |
 |
| The soft, water wash style is hard to achieve but Class 5 are doing well. |
I have just finished reading the book Flight From Ledron (bug club)
ReplyDeleteThe book was good I especially liked it as it was about a young boy rescuing a bird. I would rate rate the book 5/10.
I have now finished all of my Bug Club books and now would like to have some more,
Charlie.
Certainly!
DeleteTom, I love your picture! Maybe we could have an art gallery somewhere in school? Well done to all my maths group today, you are making great progress and I am really proud of you all. Keep looking at those prompt sheets at home and come and see me if you want anything explained more.
ReplyDeleteWho will get Times Table Master this week?

Book Review - Dogs of Hinterland - Bugclub
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this book and it was all about a girl who gets taken to a fortress as a prisoner and its all set in another world.
I think the adjectives and tension will really help me improve my writing in class.
I rate this book a 7 ot of 10
I agree, this book will certainly help you with imaginative ideas. a good read.
DeleteOOPS! By Ellie B
ReplyDeleteI am reading Kidnap in the carribean and i really like the book because it has loads of suspence. My favourite part at the moment is when the strait As kidnap Lauras uncle Calvin Redfern and Laura and her bestfriend Tarquin try and find him. But they are on a Carribean cruse and it turned out that it was a scam!
ReplyDeleteOverall i love this book and would rate it 9/10!
Ella.
What a great score Ella!

ReplyDeleteI have just finished reading this book on Bug Club and really liked it. I think that the author (Diana Noonan) is a very good writer and it was very enjoyable to read one of her stories. I thought that Amon rescuing the little injured bird was sweet too!
9 out of 10/4 out of 5 stars

DeleteI have finished reading the book 'Run'. I liked this book because it is set in the days when the Wizard Of Oz book was released. This book was very interesting as it had two people telling the story. I rate this book 4/5 stars.
