Welcome to the weekly blog for Week 4 of this half term.
Class 5 had an eventful week as it was Friendship week with a wide variety of
activities and fun outside the classroom. They learnt how to dance under their
partners arm and twist in the ballroom jive; had a stimulating and surprising
science lesson learning about magnetic force and the week culminated in their
presentations to an audience.
I would like to say congratulations to Class 5 for the
effort and preparation most pupils put into making their presentations as
interesting, varied and as professional as they could. Their photos are here on the blog and each
member of Class 5 is going to write about what went well and how they can
improve for their future presentations.
This week is Powerdown Week and I’m sure that the results of
monitoring our use of energy within the school will be an eye opener,
especially our no power day on Friday! How much will we save this week?
Homework 24/11/14
Due in on Friday as homework will be given
out on Mondays, due in on Fridays.
English
Well done Class 5! Your
presentations were effective, interesting and a few were completely
professional! Please write on the blog this week which areas of the Success
Criteria for presentation worked well and one area that you know you need to
work on. Your photos are on there, it was a nerve wracking experience but an
essential skill for life. If you haven’t written a book review on the blog for
last week’s homework, please do so whilst you are on there.

i thought sign of a warrior was a great book but could of had more ww's in the end i'm giving it a 4 out of 5 rating
ReplyDeleteI thought the book Sign of a Warrior is really good book. I love the part when they meet the baboon, it makes me bond with the character even more. I feel that it could be upleveled and could have more wonderful words. Also using other words then 'said'. I would Rate the book 3 out of 5.

Although I have not fully completed the book,'Run' on Bugclub I think its a rilliant book with a strong message of perseverance showing in the book consistently. I think tht the author is extremely talented as even though most of the story takes place on a sofa in the kitchen the author still suceeds in making it a very intresting book! I believe that its very easy to feel connected to the characters in the book as the language used is very emotive and the story its self is very moving.
ReplyDeleteI rate this book 5 stars and I definitly suggest reading it!
