   Homework  20/10/14 
   Due in on Friday as homework will be given out on Mondays, due in on Fridays.
 

English
We are experiencing a game of squash in a real squash court on Monday. Please write a paragraph describing the experience. How different was it from the squash lessons so far at school? How have the techniques you have learned helped when in a real match situation? What happened? Finish your paragraph with your own match report. Remember to use all your VCOP skills and be proud of your presentation.
Maths
We have been studying common multiples and factors. Try out your times tables knowledge with the multiples and factors challenges in your homework book.
Iron Age Group are to try the TTT challenges using multiples, factors and prime numbers.
Please work on the 9x table this week. Keep practicing your 3x, 4x, 6x, 7x and 8x  tables and build up your knowledge. Remember to use your times tables tool box.

 We have a busy yet exciting week ahead of us, We are going to experience glass backed squash courts at Lexden Squash Club tomorrow which is a terrific way to start the week. We will be studying our experiment results on reversible change and evaluating our predictions. We are revising fractions in maths this week, double negatives in grammar as well as our weekly phonics and narrative Stig of the Dump. The class our proud of their Autumn poetry and paintings of leaves. We will be following this with a leaf investigation in science this week, learning words such as chlorophyll, photosynthesis and carbon dioxide. We look forward to sharing our work in the Harvest assembly on Thursday.
