   Homework  11/09/14
Given out on Thursday, due in on Tuesday.

English
Use your journalistic skills to write a short piece as if you are the Headteacher of our school and having to explain to the parents what happened in school on Monday afternoon in the weekly newsletter. How will you write it so that it sounds believable? Will the parents fully understand that you are not playing a joke on them? A tricky piece to write as it will sound far-fetched. Remember to use WW (wonderful words as you are writing as an adult).

Maths
Complete the multiplication, factors and square root challenges and record the time that it took you to do so. Were you faster than expected? Did you surprise yourself?

Tables need to be known by the end of Year 4 in The New Curriculum as of this week so we are conscious as a class that many of us need to catch up and work at this. Start with the 3x table this week as we have learnt it together at speed. Can you come back down as fast as you can go up? We will continue to practice them at speed, up and down, plus equivalence knowledge so that you remember them forever, not just until you leave school one day.
