This week has been assessment week so we have a chance to see how much we have learnt so far, and what work we still have to do for the rest of the year!
It of course, means Mrs Crawley has done quite a bit of marking this week... here's a maths problem for you. Can you work out how much marking Mrs Crawley has done??
On Monday 27 of us did the grammar and spelling tests, which were worth 70 marks in total each.
On Tuesday 27 of us did the reading test, which were worth 50 marks in total each.
On Wednesday 27 of us did maths paper 1, worth 40 marks, and paper 2, worth 35 marks.
On Thursday 28 of us did maths paper 3, worth 35 marks.
So how many marks has Mrs Crawley marked in total this week?
Of course, it hasn't been just tests all week, we have also been carrying on with our other work.
In maths, we had a go at being the teacher, testing our adding and subtracting fractions skills by coaching each other in how to solve problems.
In science, year 6 have been learning about series and parallel circuits. Here we are using ourselves to make a human circuit, with beanbags to show the electrical charge.
On Friday it was our Christingle service, so we had great fun putting our Christingles together before joining the rest of the school in the Church service.
Next week, it will all be about getting in the Christmas spirit!
