Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

SATs are donnnnnnnnnnnnnne!!! (As you can probably tell, Miss Vidler is probably the most excited person in the class about this!)

What an amazing, fabulous week we have all had.

By the time we were finished on Thursday, we had a chance to relax and watch 'Hoodwinked' - which fitted in nicely with our current topic too!

Which brings us to today - our 'Back to Foundation Stage' Day!

When year 6 entered the classroom in the morning, they found that the classroom had been arranged so there was a puzzle station, art table, reading corner and building zone! We had lots of fun in the morning playing, painting, building and generally enjoying ourselves!

In the afternoon we managed to have even more fun, by inviting ourselves into Class 1! Mrs Wainwright commented on how we were able to extend the imaginations of the younger pupils and enhanced their creative thinking and problem solving skills by extending their play in ways Class 1 had not thought of. Of course, we also had the opportunity to have some fun ourselves!

Well done year 6. Every one of you has done our school proud this week and you all worked hard for your reward day. As I said to you earlier, don't forget the joy of playing. We have a tendency to start asking you to be more like adults as you turn 11, but it's just as important for you to enjoy being a child for as long as you can!

Have a lovely, relaxing weekend,

Miss Vidler

  2. Thank you Miss V and co for the wonderful handling of the run up to SATs week. After such bad publicity i was a little worried, but your whole approach to the week and getting our children ready for these tests deserves to be highly praised. You made it enjoyable, and yes i did say enjoyable, my Daughter was sad when she sat the last paper! Thank you all.
