Welcome back to your last half term of Year 6 and Fordham School! We have an unusual week of activities and warmer days are on the way which will be great for our Summer Fair on Saturday too.

We have started the show songs and some of us experienced advanced squash lessons on Monday. We have all been working hard for the Netball High 5 tournament this afternoon, Class 5 have excelled themselves with enthusiasm and dedication to this. Good luck everyone!
Our annual visit to Crucial Crewe this morning will be interactive, informative and important for Class 5 to stay safe in every way during the coming years.
We compared the film of Stormbreaker with the book yesterday, quite a difference and it was really interesting to analyse how Anthony Horowitz had adapted his spy genre story for film.
To end our exciting week we are studying science at Colchester Zoo with Mrs Dixon and their part in worldwide conservation will be part of our focus too.

Homework 01/06/15

Due in on Friday 12th June – you have next week to complete this.

English

After looking at the massive Portuguese Man o’ War jellyfish in The Stormbreaker film in captivity and in a small tank, I would like you to research how Colchester Zoo is a major part of worldwide conservation, fighting extinction. How are their enclosures appropriate and what can you find out about their conservation programme? A fact booklet or poster would be superb. You have next week to complete this too.

Maths

Your maths homework for next week will be given to you on Monday. Please ensure that you have no outstanding Abacus maths online work to complete.
